//About MSBorderlands
//====================
Backstory: Ever played borderlands? Seems most people have, and it's a great game. Think I should clarify this has zero affiliation
with borderlands, its sequel, its developers, and so forth. Additionally, it uses no direct code, textures, models, and etc from the
game and is built as an EMULATOR, and legally there is a considerable difference between Emulation and Replication, so I thought I'd
clarify the difference. Anyways, this mod emulates borderlands 1, its lootpool, and some of its enemies within the bounds of Deus Ex.
It's an interesting mod, and although relatively small in how it is inserted, is a considerable game changer. It is (obviously)
inspired by Borderlands and had been sitting around collecting dust for a while in my files, so I figured I'd polish it up some and
make it more stable (and trust me, it used to be HORRIBLY unstable, I'm amazed I can grant stability a 10 now) and prep it for public
release... and it took a LONG time due to all the changes it had to be subjected to. I admit I feel bad because this took so much time
away from Hatchet, but all-in-all I'm willing to call it worth while, and hope you feel the same.

Patch 1.1: Gah. I REALLY need to stop doing this. Clipper didn't exist, sorry guys, and a slight bug with the Vladof Revolution, got
stat bonuses from its material it should (mostly) be excluded from due to its unique OPPOSITE stat stance for a legendary. Got this
in quickly, so hopefully suffering is minimalized.

Patch 1.2: Okay. I'm officially postponing this patch a couple of days just so I don't jump the gun, this is just aggravating for those
who want to not be slave to patches and updates, no matter how minor and negligable they may ultimately be.
-Clipper colors itself blue now, and blue only. Previously it was almost always green, and by no small part because it is honestly
not that good of a weapon.
-Pounder and Intense effects on cobras now bestow the proper +50% bonus each. How did I forget this?
-S&S Guns give more tech at higher material grade... because their current bonus is seriously undershot, most their guns look awful
in tech, and that's just a tad off.
-Total miswrite in the readme, of all places. Bug in the place where I report bugs, ugh.
-Modified some of code used with burstfire weapons to reload properly once clip is depleted. Hyperion weapons still bug out though.
-Fixed reaper + clipper not listing melee bonuses in item screen for machine pistols
-Modified the way sniper rifles read tech levels. They now no longer start with less than 50% proc, and inherit 75% proc slightly easier.
-Fixed the Butcher not playing animations when firing. This was actually intentional due to how screwy the animation rate was, but I
remember I had some code I'd developed for the same problem on other gun types, and applied it.
-Reduced masher accuracy penalty, they were just a bit too inaccurate IMO.

Things I wanted to bring into the mod, but weren't practical:
-Skags and other wildlife
-More bosses/unique weapons
-Rocket Launchers
-Some parts and effect we couldn't replicate, including projectile speed and ricocheting/unique moving rounds
-Pearlescent weapons and weapon vendors
-Better NPC textures (let's face it, the current ones are pretty uncreative and lame)

Rating:
Stability - 10
Fun - 9
User Friendliness - 10
Compatability - 3
Multiplayer Compability - 0

Compatability:
This mod has not been tested with full conversion mods and, in all likelyhood, is very likely to be incompatible.
This should, however, work perfectly with any campaigns that don't fully convert Deus Ex.
Including:
-Zodiac
-Redsun2020
-The Nameless Mod
-Hotel Carone
-Nihilum
-The Cassandra Project
-Countefeit (RIP Ghand.)

Feel free to try any full conversion mods, but many of them are not intended for compatiblity. So that.
*NOTE: The shield bug in MSIM is probably also present in MSBL, and I fudged the previous versions about describing this. This mod is
actually where the shield method of MSIM originates, so it is probably guaranteed to have the same bug. Oi.

//Insallation
//====================
-Copy MSBorderlands.u to your DeusEx/System
-Copy MSBorderFX.utx to your DeusEx/Textures. If you've installed MSMassEffectF before this is redundant. This is the forementioned
mod that the file was originally from, so that.
-Start Deus Ex
-open console and type "summon MSBorderlands.MSBorderlandsMutator", be sure to erase "say".
-You should be given a message in a moment and the replacer protocol will take effect. A couple of seconds in delay is present with
all replacement protocols as you travel, so you may see vanilla a split second before it's converted to MSBL stuff.
-???
-Profit

//Tips
//====================
*Beat the game? Want more? Type "mutate challengemode" and you'll be given a prompt. Type "mutate challengemode Y" afterwards to confirm
challenge mode! Enemies will be considerably tougher, you'll be right where you left off in loot, level, and skills, and can go through
a harder, more challenging playthrough!

-Any crates, boxes, or containers that have items inside them will be replaced with either an ammo or weapons chest. Anything with
weapons WILL be a weapons chest, and everything else has a 2/3 chance to be ammo and a 1/3 chance to be guns. Guns are awesome.
-Weapons are HEAVILY randomized, including a large handful of weapons known as "legendaries" The weapon's model, name, manufacturer,
and color all indicate various things about the weapons. Worst to best loot colors are as follows: White<Green<Blue<Purple<Orange<Dark Orange
-All weapons come equipped with a "knife" ability, which may even receive a damage boost based on the weapon's accesory. Use your laser
sight key to swing your knife while in combat. It doesn't require ammo and can be used silently, at close range, and underwater. When
situations get tense, mags run dry, and enemies close in, use the knife!
-Many weapon accesories can have drastic effects on weapons. From stat boosts, bayonetes, elemental effects, and more, a good accesory
can complete a good weapon!
-Fire element is good against unarmored targets. Acid is good against armored targets. Shock and explosive, however, work well on everything.
-Cameras and turrets are now invincible to compensate for the high-powered weapons, but are incredibly vulnerable to being scrambled by
shock element weapons! Use your head, and it'll pay off a bit.
-Some bosses exist and randomly appear in the world, and usually have a unique weapon they drop. Killing them is both great experience
and a great challenge!
-As you defeat enemies, you will level up. Higher level weapons and enemies will appear, with proper scaling. Higher levels = better loot!
-When legendary weapons appear, you'll see a small message appear at the start of a new level. They can have various effects, so explore,
loot and find the best of the best!
-Some weapons have increased critical hit damage, including some unique and legendary weapons. Additionally, revolvers and sniper rifles have
an unwritten bonus for headshots, so aim carefully!
-Almost any weapon type can come with a scope, read the item into and use them accordingly to maximize your range and accuracy!
-Elemental weapons have 40% less damage to start, with the exception of some legendaries. When their element procs, however, it's long
worth the wait!
-Almost all weapons have tradeoffs. While there is no "perfect" weapon, some part combinations are better than others, and some mixes
are better for differences uses and roles, depending. Never judge a book by its cover, if you see something new, try it out a bit!
